This academic year, the Atelier Club transformed into a vibrant hub of “Creative Alchemy.” Our students didn’t just make art; they journeyed through a curated curriculum designed to challenge their eyes, hands, and perspectives. Here is how we redefined the canvas in 2025-26, we kicked off the year by deconstructing the mundane through a single, shared subject. However, rather than focusing on camera angles, our artists explored the subjective “lens” of individual interpretation. By observing how four different students rendered the exact same object, we discovered that artistic truth depends entirely on the unique perspective of the creator. Moving from 2D to 3D, we introduced Putty Paste Art. The studio became a construction site of creativity as student’s sculpted ridges, valleys, and grooves, proving that art is meant to be felt as much as it is seen. Precision met elegance during our Calligraphy intensive. Students decoded the “Science of the Stroke,” mastering the delicate balance of: Up-strokes: Light and airy, Down-strokes: Bold and grounded, Loops: The fluid DNA of a beautiful script. To usher in the Christmas spirit, we turned to the ancient Japanese art of Origami. With nothing but paper and patience, the club engineered festive decorations, proving that complex beauty often lies in a series of simple, intentional folds. We wrapped up our creative odyssey with Dotted Mandalas. Using specialized tools to apply colourful dots of varying sizes, students practiced mindfulness while creating intricate, symmetrical patterns that radiated from the centre outward.
“At the Atelier, we don’t just follow lines—we create them.”
