Lower secondary students enthusiastically explored the fascinating concept of surface tension through a series of engaging, hands–on, and visually captivating science activities. They were amazed to see how multiple shiny coins could be gently added to a beaker filled to the brim with clear water—without causing it to overflow—demonstrating the remarkable strength of surface tension.
In another exciting and interactive activity, water was transferred using a string, showcasing the invisible yet powerful cohesive forces between water molecules. A creative demonstration using a pierced bottle illustrated cohesion and adhesion as water clung to the surfaces. These stimulating and thought–provoking experiments made science fun, tangible, and unforgettable.
