This week, our curious CIE 1 scientists embarked on a magical journey to discover what happens when light meets a mirror. With a tiny torch, a shiny mirror, and a small screen, our little explorers were full of excitement and questions.
First, they shone the torch straight at the screen and watched the light pass through just like last time. But then came the surprise they pointed the light at the mirror instead. Eyes widened and smiles lit up as the beam bounced off the mirror and changed direction, landing perfectly on the screen. “It turned!” someone gasped. “The mirror made the light go that way!” another chimed in, thrilled by the discovery. Through gentle giggles and glowing beams, they learned that light can reflect or bounce off shiny surfaces like mirrors. They moved the mirrors around and watched the light change paths again and again, amazed that they could “steer” light.
This joyful adventure showed them that science is full of wonder and magic, especially when you explore it with your heart. Their bright eyes, warm laughter, and big discoveries reminded us: when children reflect, the world shines a little brighter.
“In every bounce of light, there’s a story of discovery waiting to shine.”
