Seeing Beyond The Science of Periscopes! @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

“Reflection teaches us that the path of light is never blocked, only redirected.”

CIE 3 students explored how light and mirrors work together through a fascinating observation of a periscope. They examined how mirrors placed at 45-degree angles allow light to bounce and reveal objects outside their direct sight.

By looking through the periscope, students were amazed to see objects above or around corners, even though they weren’t in their direct line of vision. This exciting activity demonstrated how light reflects off surfaces and sparked curiosity about the science of light.

Through observation and discussion, students gained a memorable understanding of how periscopes work and how light travels in straight lines while bouncing off mirrors!
