Roll, Climb, and Slide with 3D Shapes

Written by cpsglobalblog
Our CIE 1 students had a fun-filled learning session on the ground, playing the “Slides and Ladders” game with 3D shapes. A grid was drawn on the ground, and each box featured a different 3D shape, such as a cube, sphere, cylinder, or cuboid. The children took turns rolling the dice and jumping forward. Wherever they landed, they had to name the shape. If they were correct, they stayed there; if not, they had to return to their previous position. If they landed on a ladder, they climbed up; if on a slide, they had to slide down.
The students were excited and enjoyed moving, jumping, and learning at the same time. They helped each other, waited for their turns, and cheered for their friends. The outdoor activity made identifying and learning 3D shapes more interesting and engaging. It was a wonderful combination of fun, teamwork, and learning through play.
