Our Grade 1 students recently discovered the concept of push and pull through fun, hands-on activities. Instead of just reading about it, they experienced how these forces work in real life. The children gently pulled a zipper, opened and closed the classroom door, and even tried pushing and pulling chairs to see the difference.
These simple, everyday examples helped the students clearly understand how a push makes objects move away and a pull brings them closer. The classroom was filled with excitement as they connected science to their daily lives in a playful way. This activity not only built their scientific understanding but also encouraged observation, teamwork, and curiosity—showing that science is all around us!
