Psychology is an invisible force that plays a vital role in human life. Patience and emotions are the pillars of psychology that influence our lives every minute, from childhood to adulthood. The most precious gift a parent can give to a child is guidance. Guidance is like the steering wheel of a car. Parents need to tilt the steering gently with minimal movement. Similar and appropriate principles and restrictions need to be followed, which should not emotionally disturb children.
CPS Global School wants to support its parents and provide qualitative suggestions through a professional parenting counselor. As part of this initiative, CPS Global was happy to conduct a “Parenting Session – Transition of Preteens to Teenagers.” The counselor was Ms. Dimple Mehta, a mental health practitioner specialized in trauma and parenting.
The parents and the counselor interacted through numerous queries and suggestions. We could see the genuine care of parents for their children. Suggestions and examples were given by the counselor for the queries raised by parents on academics, digital screen time, sports activities, performing arts, hobbies, and student behaviour (physically and mentally). The counselor explained how students can improve themselves through extra-curricular activities and how these activities evolve alongside students’ academics. She also shared the guidelines and appropriate levels for different age groups.
The way parents and the counselor were involved in the session was phenomenal. The session was valuable and memorable. CPS Global School is proud to organize such sessions for parents, and our parents are glad to participate in more upcoming sessions in the future.
