Our Little CIE 1 Scientists Discover How Light Travels! @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Today, our curious CIE 1 explorers turned into light detectives! With eyes full of wonder and hands ready to experiment, they set out to uncover one of light’s magical secrets: Does it always travel in a straight line?

Each team had a tiny torch, a screen with a small hole, one straight straw, and one bent straw. First, they carefully aligned the straight straw with the hole in the screen, switched on the torch and gasped with joy as the light passed right through!

Wow! It’s like a light tunnel!” one of them whispered.

Then came the twist literally! They tried the bent straw the same way. This time, no light reached the screen.

Where did the light go?” asked one child, peeking through the straw.
It can’t turn!” another exclaimed, eyes wide with realization.

Through giggles, guesses, and glow, they discovered that light always travels in a straight line it just can’t bend around corners like we can!

Our little scientists beamed with pride, knowing they had uncovered a big truth about the world.

Their joyful journey reminded us all: Science isn’t just about answers it’s about the sparkle in our eyes when we ask questions.

Keep wondering, keep exploring, and let your light shine straight and bright!
