Recently, our learners delved into the fascinating activity of converting infix expressions to Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), also known as postfix notation. This activity not only sharpened our algorithmic skills but also highlighted the efficiency and practical applications of RPN in computational tasks. The classroom buzzed with teamspirit as we split into groups. Each group tackled the challenge of manually converting infix expressions to RPN. Armed with markers and chart paper, we visually mapped out the conversion process step by step. These charts not only reinforced our understanding but also served as colorful aids in explaining the algorithm. The activity fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the use of stack in the conversion process.
