Little Hands, Big Hearts – World Doctors’ Day! @CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Written by cpsglobalblog
World Doctors’ Day was celebrated with great excitement and creativity by our Early Years learners, offering a wonderful opportunity for the children to appreciate the vital role doctors play in keeping us healthy and safe. Each group explored the theme in its own unique and meaningful way. The enthusiastic EY1 children made their own foam paper stethoscopes with the help of their facilitators, assembling colorful designs using foam puzzle pieces. Dressed as mini doctors, they proudly wore their handmade creations and enjoyed engaging in joyful role-play. The imaginative EY2 kids crafted adorable paper plate doctor hats, transforming plain plates into fun headgear with great enthusiasm and participating in pretend play that deepened their understanding of the theme. Our creative EY3 learners took it a step further by making origami ambulances, learning how emergency vehicles help doctors reach those in need quickly—a perfect blend of art, awareness, and appreciation. To make the day even more special, Dr. Litty Mariyam Jacob visited the children. She shared valuable tips on staying clean and healthy, emphasizing daily tooth brushing, eating a healthy breakfast, washing hands with soap, choosing nutritious foods over junk, eating with family, avoiding screens during meals, drinking plenty of water, playing outdoors, and sleeping on time (by 8 o’clock). To reinforce these lessons, facilitators presented a fun and educational role-play comparing the effects of brushing versus not brushing teeth, which the children watched with wide eyes and joyful giggles. The celebration beautifully combined creativity, learning, and awareness, making World Doctors’ Day a truly meaningful and memorable experience for our little ones.
