“When children have fun, they learn best.”
On June 25, our CIE 1 and 2 learners had a fun-filled morning exploring the world of words through exciting, hands-on activities guided by their facilitators.
The classrooms were filled with energy as learners played word-based games designed to build vocabulary, spelling, and teamwork—all while having fun!
In CIE 1, learners teamed up in groups of four to create word chains around themes like animals, fruits, vegetables, and body parts. Each new word had to begin with the last letter of the previous word. This playful challenge sparked quick thinking and creativity. The room was full of laughter as learners shared ideas and cheered each other on. The teams were appreciated for their teamwork, speed, and clever word choices.
Meanwhile, CIE 2 learners took on a word grid activity. Using a set of letters, they created words ranging from two to six letters. The challenge encouraged them to think fast, spell accurately, and build their vocabulary with confidence. Their enthusiasm and pride in their work were wonderful to see!
These word games were more than just play—they were joyful learning experiences that helped learners grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Watching their excitement and team spirit reminded us how powerful learning through play can be.
Here’s to many more magical moments with words!
