“In moments of crisis, the hands that help are holier than the lips that pray.”
At CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, the belief remains steadfast that a school’s true strength lies not only in academic achievement but also in the safety, preparedness, and compassionate readiness of its educators. The recent First Emergency Responder Training, conducted by GVK EMRI, proved to be a deeply transformative experience—one that strengthened our philosophy and reinforced our shared sense of responsibility.
Sincere gratitude is extended to Ranjith Sir, whose wisdom, clarity, and empathy shaped the session into an empowering learning experience. He guided teachers through essential life-saving procedures such as CPR, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, choking relief using the Heimlich manoeuvre, burn response for both minor and major cases, and fracture management using improvised supports. The training also covered bleeding control through pressure and bandaging, trauma response and shock stabilization, seizure management, and maintaining environmental safety. Rather than merely presenting information, he enriched the session with hands-on demonstrations, group-based practice activities, and real-life scenarios, enabling educators to perform emergency techniques with confidence and composure.
The practical nature of the training ensured that teachers not only learned what to do in critical moments but also internalized the importance of staying calm and focused when a life may depend on their actions. The session showcased the school’s forward-thinking commitment to holistic education — portraying CPS Global School’s educators not only as cultivators of intellect, but also as dependable guardians of student safety in times of crisis.
Ultimately, the training reaffirmed the collective mission at CPS Global School: to nurture with dedication, protect with vigilance, and serve with humanity and courage. The experience stands as a meaningful milestone in the school’s journey toward creating a prepared, resilient, and compassionate community.
