The Unsung Documentary Project, a senior-segment initiative, encouraged students to look beyond the spotlight and recognise individuals whose everyday contributions often go unnoticed. Each class formed teams to identify an unsung hero and present their ideas through a structured pitching round evaluated by a panel of judges.
Shortlisted teams then created a 3–5-minute documentary, researching, filming, and shaping real stories with empathy and responsibility. The completed documentaries were screened at a final showcase attended by senior students, where judges selected the winning entry based on storytelling, impact, and portrayal of the unsung hero.
Beyond filmmaking, the project helped students develop observation, respect, and thoughtful storytelling. It demonstrated how research, creativity, and collaboration can be used to highlight meaningful lives and inspire awareness within the school community. Ultimately, the project reinforced that powerful stories often belong to those who seek no recognition, reminding us that true impact comes from consistency, care, and quiet contribution.
