Festive Beats and Tiny Feet: Navratri in Kindergarten @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

The morning began with a burst of colors as our little ones walked into school dressed in their beautiful traditional attire. Their bright smiles and twinkling eyes set the tone for a day filled with celebration, learning, and joy.

The children were introduced to the significance of Navratri, understanding how the festival celebrates the victory of good over evil and honors the divine feminine energy. To make the experience more meaningful, the school was adorned with beautifully arranged Golu steps, decorated with idols and dolls that captured the true essence of the festival.

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for—the dandiya dance! The children moved joyfully to the festive beats. Some twirled, some tapped carefully, and some just couldn’t stop smiling as they danced with their friends. The air was filled with laughter, music, and pure happiness. Adding a touch of creativity, the EY2 children showcased their artistic side by making vibrant Navratri crafts, which added even more charm to the celebration.

The day was a beautiful blend of tradition, creativity, and joy—giving our children not just a celebration, but a cherished memory of togetherness, culture, and festive spirit.
