Our EY1, EY2 and EY3 learners celebrated Grateful Reverence Day on 28 September 2026 to thank the aunties, gardeners and bus drivers who help make every school day safe, comfortable and joyful. The celebration encouraged the children to recognize the many thoughtful ways these helpers care for them and our school. From the aunties who offer a helping hand throughout the day to the gardeners who care for our surroundings and the bus drivers who bring children safely to school, each person plays a special part in their daily lives. It was an opportunity for our young learners to express their appreciation through meaningful interactions, handmade creations and joyful performances.
The programme began with a prayer and a warm welcome speech by EY3 students. A special moment followed as the children welcomed each aunty with a handmade crown. Their thoughtful creations brought smiles to the gathering.
Little learners spoke about the significance of the day, sharing why our school helpers deserve kindness and respect. EY2 then presented a Tamil song, followed by a song and dance performed by EY3.
Head of School Ms. Sreedevi V & EY Coordinator Lily Dexter Solomon addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude to our helpers on behalf of the entire school community. A young interviewer from EY2 then spoke with each of our super helpers, giving everyone a chance to learn more about them. Lively games brought everyone together before the programme concluded with a vote of thanks, gift distribution and a heartfelt thank-you note. Refreshments were then served to our super helpers.
In the era of declining human relations and eroding values such celebrations help children to fill their hearts with readiness to cherish all what they have and express their thanks in a simple and sincere way. It was a meaningful day that helped our young learners recognize the aunties, gardeners and bus drivers as valued members of our school community.
