Our Grade 4 students explored the fascinating world of prime numbers using the Sieve of Eratosthenes, an ancient and effective method to find all prime numbers between 1 and 100. Through this hands-on activity, students learned to recognize number patterns and understood the concept of primes in a fun and visual way. The sieve method not only helped strengthen their logical thinking and problem-solving skills but also made learning math feel like solving an exciting puzzle. In addition to identifying 25 prime numbers, It also supports the understanding of related concepts like factors, multiples, and common factors. This engaging activity deepened their curiosity about numbers and sparked meaningful discussions about divisibility and factors.
