Grade 3 students embarked on an enriching educational field trip to the Aavin Milk Processing Plant in Korattur, Chennai. This visit offered firsthand insight into the journey of milk—from farm to breakfast table.

Welcomed by friendly Aavin staff, the students toured the clean and well-organized facility, beginning with the milk receiving section where milk is filtered and chilled below 4°C. They observed rigorous lab testing for purity and fat content, reinforcing the importance of hygiene in food production.

The students then witnessed pasteurization and homogenization, connecting real-world processes to classroom science. They learned how milk is categorized, fortified, and color-coded into different varieties for consumer use.

A visit to the automated packaging section showcased precision machinery in action. The trip concluded on a sweet note with a cup of Aavin ice cream, enjoyed with delight and appreciation.

This immersive experience brought together science, technology, and learning, inspiring young minds to value everyday essentials through the lens of curiosity and discovery.
