The Grade 1 learners embarked on an exciting learning journey as they explored the topic Clothes We Wear through a fun and creative poster-making activity. With colourful drawings and imaginative ideas, our young learners illustrated the different types of clothes we wear during summer, winter, and the rainy season.
The most exciting part of the activity was watching the children bring their learning to life through their posters. They thoughtfully differentiated between seasonal clothing, identifying light cotton clothes for summer, warm woollen clothes for winter, and raincoats and gumboots for the rainy season. Each poster reflected their understanding of how our clothing choices change according to the weather.
As they presented their posters to their classmates, the learners had opportunities to develop their speaking skills, build confidence, and express their ideas clearly. They also learnt to connect their classroom knowledge with everyday life by understanding the importance of choosing suitable clothes for different seasons.
The activity was more than just a poster-making exercise; it was a joyful learning experience that encouraged creativity, observation, communication, and independent thinking. Our young learners proudly showcased their work, making learning about clothes and seasons both meaningful and memorable!
