Chennai Public School, Anna Nagr hosted the TEDx Chennai Youth 2025 on 25th October 2025—a day that celebrated creativity, curiosity, and the courage to share bold ideas.
Students from IGCSE Year 1 to IBDP Year 2 were invited to audition and present their “ideas worth spreading.” After a rigorous selection process, Rexiline Celsia and Nandana R. Roy from IBDP Year 1, CPS Global School Thirumazhisai, earned the honour of representing the school among the top 10 young speakers at the final TEDx event.
Weeks of mentorship, preparation, and rehearsals culminated in both students delivering impactful speeches that left a lasting impression on the audience.
- Rexiline Celsia, through her soulful and introspective narrative, explored themes of self-perception and resilience, inspiring everyone to embrace their authentic selves beyond social expectations.
- Nandana R. Roy offered a heartfelt reflection on the unseen struggles behind visible smiles, encouraging empathy and understanding for the emotions that often go unnoticed.
This year’s theme, “What the Mirror Misses,” urged every speaker to uncover the unseen—to reveal truths that can be felt but not always seen. Each talk carried a deeply personal story, insight, or emotion that resonated well beyond the stage.
The event, hosted in the Multipurpose Hall, welcomed 100 selected students from CPS Group of Institutions. Proceedings began with a prayer song by the CPS Choir Group, followed by the lighting of the lamp by Shri Balaji Dagupati, CEO & Correspondent, and the Heads of Schools. A graceful Bharatanatyam performance added a touch of cultural elegance to the opening ceremony.
Each speaker brought a distinct perspective—redefining success, exploring empathy, embracing change, and celebrating hope. The platform became a mirror not of appearances, but of ideas that reflect who we truly are. As the event drew to a close, Trustee Ms. Aishwarya Devarajan felicitated the speakers with certificates of appreciation and heartfelt congratulations for their eloquence and effort. The day concluded with the National Anthem, wrapping up a memorable celebration of thought, reflection, and youthful expression.
TEDx Chennai Youth 2025 was not just an event—it was a celebration of courage, creativity, and conviction that continues to echo through the voices of tomorrow’s changemakers.
