“Light a lamp of love, blast a chain of sorrow, shoot a rocket of prosperity, and fire a flowerpot of happiness!”
The spirit of Diwali lit up our CPS Global School campus as students and staff came together to celebrate one of India’s most cherished festivals – Diwali, the Festival of Lights. The assembly, filled with vibrant energy and cultural richness, was a beautiful blend of prayer, music, dance, and multilingual presentations.
The celebration began with a heartfelt prayer, invoking peace, love, and prosperity for all. It set a peaceful and spiritual tone for the morning, reminding us of the deeper meaning of the festival.
A thought-provoking quote of the day was shared:
“Let your inner light shine brighter than the Diwali diyas. True light is not outside; it’s within.”
This powerful message encouraged everyone to reflect on the importance of inner strength, kindness, and self-awareness.
To embrace our school’s multicultural environment, students presented the significance of Diwali in three different languages:
- English: Diwali marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
The atmosphere turned festive with a melodious Diwali song sung by our school choir, filling the air with joy.
The highlight of the morning was a vibrant and colorful dance performance by our talented students. Their energetic moves and bright costumes brought alive the joy and celebration of Diwali.
The assembly was a reminder of the values Diwali teaches us—hope, unity, and the victory of good over evil. We wish all our readers a joyful, safe, and light-filled Diwali!
