Written by cpsglobalblog

At CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, September was marked by vibrant celebrations of Teachers’ Day and Onam, blending gratitude, tradition, and creativity. The occasion brought together students, teachers, and staff in a spirited showcase of cultural pride and appreciation.

The afternoon featured a department-wise pookalam (floral rangoli) competition organized by students to honour their teachers. Acting as judges, students evaluated each creation based on artistry, colour harmony, and design intricacy. The Mathematics Department secured first place with an exquisite arrangement that garnered admiration from all.

Adding to the significance of the day, the school’s alumni, currently pursuing studies at various universities abroad, joined virtually to convey their heartfelt thanks to the teachers. The management expressed their appreciation by hosting a delicious lunch and presenting a thoughtful gift to the faculty. Enhancing the celebratory atmosphere, the teachers themselves performed several melodious songs, adding warmth and vibrancy to the occasion.

The day concluded with a lively common assembly featuring cultural performances and engaging activities. Students presented traditional Kerala dances and songs, creating a festive ambience. Light-hearted games, including Sundariku Pottu Kuthu—where blindfolded participants attempted to place a bindi on a lady’s forehead—and a humorous face-recognition challenge featuring teachers’ close-up photos, further enlivened the event.

The combined celebration of Teachers’ Day and Onam left enduring memories, reflecting CPS Global School’s commitment to unity, creativity, and community spirit.
