Building Bodies: Cotton Swab Skeletons and Robotic Hands

Written by cpsglobalblog
The students of CIE 3 made a model of the skeleton using cotton swabs (“Cotton Swab Skeleton”). This activity helped them visualize the bone structure, learn the names of major bones and joints, understand how bones support the body, and identify the largest and smallest bones all while meaningfully engaging them to develop their motor skills. The Robotic Hand activity helped students understand the coordination between bones and muscles that enables movement. The students proudly showcased their models, and each had a story to tell.
