A Splash of Colour and Learning @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Today, our little ones explored a world of colour and sensation with a water bead sorting activity that was as educational as it was exciting. As the children dipped their fingers into the soft, squishy beads, they engaged in sensory play—a vital part of early childhood development. This hands-on experience not only helped them sort by colours, but also stimulated their sense of touch, built fine motor control, and encouraged focused attention. The cool, slippery texture of water beads made the activity soothing and engaging, helping children learn through play while calming their minds. And the learning didn’t stop there, they also began counting the beads in each group. Through this colourful, tactile activity, they explored early math concepts like number recognition, one-to-one correspondence. The joy of colour sorting turned into a beautiful blend of learning, feeling, and discovery, all wrapped in one sensory-rich experience.
