Sherlock Holmes: Mystery of the Missing Diamond at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, in association with Helen O’Grady International, presented Theatrical Tempest: Sherlock Holmes – Mystery of the Missing Diamond on 8 October 2026 at the Egmore Museum Theatre.

The play featured students from CIE 6, CIE 7 and IG 1, who took to the stage to bring the famous detective’s mystery to life. The story followed Sherlock Holmes as he investigated the disappearance of the Diamond of Westminster, questioning suspects, examining clues and trying to uncover the truth behind the theft.

The students put on an excellent show, with their performances reflecting the effort and preparation that had gone into the production. They brought their characters to life through their dialogue, expressions and stage presence. The mystery kept the audience engaged, and the humorous moments added to the enjoyment of the play.

Preparing for a theatrical production involves much more than learning lines. Students had to work together, understand their characters, coordinate their movements and build confidence on stage. The experience gave them an opportunity to develop their communication, teamwork, creativity and public-speaking skills while exploring the world of theatre.

The auditorium was filled with support from parents, teachers and fellow students, who came to watch and encourage the performers. Their presence made the occasion even more special for the cast.

The performance was a memorable experience for everyone involved. Congratulations to all the students who participated and contributed to making Sherlock Holmes – Mystery of the Missing Diamond a wonderful success!
