Navigating the Digital World with Purpose on LinkedIn @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

A dedicated session on LinkedIn was recently conducted for our Senior Secondary students by Master Steve Jerome of AS1, with the prime objective of introducing them to LinkedIn and equipping them with the skills to use digital platforms with purpose and clarity. The session moved beyond the mechanics of profile creation and instead emphasized the importance of building a thoughtful and authentic digital identity.

Students were guided on crafting compelling headlines that communicate intent, selecting professional photographs that reflect credibility, and presenting their achievements in a manner aligned with their aspirations. The focus remained on authenticity—ensuring that each profile becomes a true reflection of the individual behind it. An important aspect of the session was helping students understand how LinkedIn can serve as a powerful bridge to universities, recruiters, and a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom. By positioning themselves effectively, students can begin to engage with the global academic and professional community at an early stage.

One of the most significant takeaways was a shift in perspective: networking is not about accumulating connections, but about nurturing meaningful and lasting relationships. This initiative stands as a meaningful step in preparing students to navigate an increasingly interconnected world—where thoughtful engagement, authenticity, and purpose define long-term success.
