Dear Parents,
As we step into this joyful season of Christmas, our school has been filled with warmth, laughter, and moments that truly remind us of the spirit of togetherness. As part of our Christmas celebrations, we invited our learners to write a “Wish for Santa”—a simple activity meant to spark imagination and festive cheer.
Among the many colourful and delightful wishes for toys, games, and surprises, one wish gently touched our hearts and stayed with us and reminded us also to pause and reflect. A learner wrote that what he wished for most was to spend more time with his parents and to have meals together as a family.
This heartfelt wish is a quiet yet powerful reminder of what children value the most—not things, but time, presence, and connection.
As educators and parents ourselves, we felt it is essential to share this moment with you. In the rush of daily routines, work commitments, and responsibilities, sometimes we forget these simple things brings us joy. This festive break presents a wonderful opportunity to pause, reconnect, and create lasting memories together.
We humbly request you to take note of this simple but profound message from a child’s heart and use this holiday season to:
- Spend quality time together
- Share meals as a family
- Listen, laugh, and create moments your children will cherish
Often, the greatest gift we can give our children is us—our time, our attention, and our love.
Wishing you and your families a season filled with warmth, togetherness, and joy!
Thank you child for gently reminding us to pause, enjoy small moments!
Each day of our lives, we make deposits in the memory banks of our children- Charles R. Swindoll
