The Rhythm of Energy Transfer by CIE6 students @CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Written by cpsglobalblog

Physics becomes enjoyable when learning is infused with creativity and fun-filled activities. Even the most challenging concepts turn simple, engaging, and easy to remember. Our CIE 6 students recently participated in an exciting and imaginative activity designed to help them understand the concept of energy transfer in a unique way.

In this activity, each student selected a popular nursery rhyme and analyzed it to identify the different types of energy and how they were transferred from one form to another in various scenes. For example, in Wheels on the Bus, students explained how the mechanical energy of the moving wheels transforms into sound energy when the bus goes “round and round.” Similarly, in London Bridge is Falling Down, they discussed how gravitational potential energy changes into kinetic energy as the bridge falls. In Once I Caught a Fish Alive, they explored the energy involved in motion and sound during the action of catching and releasing the fish.

The activity turned out to be a delightful blend of learning and laughter. Students enthusiastically presented their ideas, using creative expressions to demonstrate energy changes. This innovative approach not only helped them grasp the concept of energy transfer but also boosted their confidence and communication skills.

This joyful experience helped our young learners realize that physics is not just about formulae and laws—it’s about understanding the world around us in the most fascinating ways.
