Exploring Light and Shadows by CIE 2 Students @CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai

Written by cpsglobalblog

Our curious Grade 2 learners stepped into the fascinating world of Light and Shadows! Through exciting hands-on activities, they discovered how shadows are formed when light is blocked by an opaque object. The children were amazed to see that a shadow doesn’t always look exactly like the object—it can change in shape and size depending on the position of the light source.

They also explored the concept of transparent materials and learned that we can see things clearly through them. By experimenting with different objects, our young scientists observed how light passes through transparent materials while it gets blocked or partially blocked by opaque and translucent ones.

It was a bright and engaging session that helped our students understand how light brings both clarity and creativity into our everyday world!
