When we refill our cup, we can pour into others without running dry.
Teaching is as much a journey of giving as it is of learning. But amid lesson plans, grading, and classroom responsibilities, teachers often forget to pause and check in with themselves. The recent workshop, “Reclaiming Spark: Well-being and Alignment”, provided exactly that space — a time to breathe, reflect, and realign with what truly matters.
Solely dedicated to the individual well-being of teachers, the session moved beyond professional strategies to focus on personal fulfilment. Through a series of reflective and engaging activities, teachers were encouraged to step away from the daily rush and reconnect with their inner priorities.
One standout moment was an activity where teachers planned their ideal day — not the “realistic” one packed with to-do lists, but the one that truly nourishes their mind, body, and spirit. This activity sparked conversations about how often we sideline our own needs and reminded us that self-prioritization is not selfish — it’s necessary.
The workshop was a gentle reminder that to nurture others, we must first nurture ourselves. In reclaiming our spark, we not only enrich our own lives but also inspire those we teach.
