The EY2 children recently participated in an exciting, high-energy outdoor activity called Ready, Aim, and Throw. The challenge? To throw a ball into a hula hoop hanging from a tree branch! With the hoop swaying in the breeze and excitement in the air, the game became a perfect blend of fun and focus.
This playful setup encouraged the children to concentrate, estimate distance, and control their body movements as they aimed and threw the ball. It wasn’t just about aiming and throwing — it was about building confidence, cooperation, and celebration. It was a wonderful way to enhance their spatial awareness, arm strength, and coordination, all while having a great time outdoors.
The activity also supported social development, as the children patiently waited for their turn, encouraged their friends, and celebrated each successful throw with cheerful claps and happy giggles.
From first tries to perfect throws, every moment was a hit!
