“A computer follows instructions… but loops help it think smarter!”
In our latest CT session, our curious Grade 5 learners stepped into the world of loops, algorithms, and flowcharts using Python programming. We discovered how loops allow us to repeat instructions — just like brushing our teeth every morning or climbing stairs one step at a time!
To make it exciting, we played a fun “Repeat Until…” game where students created real-life algorithms and turned them into colorful flowcharts. Then, we moved to Python and brought those loops to life!
Using the Thonny Python IDE, students wrote short code to create patterns of different formats— all using for loops!
“I didn’t know loops could draw patterns!”
“It’s like giving the computer smart shortcuts!”
We’re proud of their creativity and logic-building skills — they’re looping their way to becoming confident coders!
