At Early Years Stage 1, every moment of play is full of purpose, and our recent Blow Paint Activity is a perfect example of this. The fun, laughter-filled session not only ignited creativity but also played a crucial role in strengthening the children’s mouth muscles, which are essential for developing speech and language skills.
Equipped with straws, vibrant blobs of paint, and plenty of curiosity, the children eagerly participated. As they gently blew through their straws, they watched in awe as the paint swirled and spread across the paper in spontaneous and unpredictable designs. Some created firework-like bursts, while others crafted swirly, abstract art. Every breath they took helped develop oral strength and breath control, both key to clear speech and pronunciation.
The experience was made even more memorable by the sheer joy and laughter that filled the classroom as they discovered new colour combinations in their artwork. It was wonderful to see them so focused, engaged, experimenting, and enjoying themselves alongside their friends.
