Our Grade 2 learners had an exciting and engaging time diving into the world of hundreds, tens, and ones through a fun, hands-on place value activity using place value kits. This tactile learning experience allowed children to physically build and break apart numbers, helping them understand the concept of place value in a concrete and meaningful way. By manipulating the kits, students visually saw how digits change depending on their place and how numbers are composed and decomposed. It was a wonderful opportunity to make math come alive, strengthen number sense, and build a strong foundation for future learning – all while having fun!
