On 18 June 2025, the Co-Scholastic Block at our school was filled with energy, focus, and a sense of inner calm as students came together to celebrate International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and discipline.
The session commenced with the 12 steps of Surya Namaskar, a holistic routine that awakens the body and mind. This was followed by a series of important asanas including Paschimottanasana, Bhujangasana, Bhadrasana, Dandasana, Vajrasana, Shashankasana, and concluded with the restorative Savasana. Each pose was performed with care and concentration, guided by our instructors who explained the physical and mental benefits of the asanas.
The event highlighted the importance of making yoga a regular part of our lifestyle, especially for growing children, as it promotes flexibility, emotional balance, and mental clarity.
Observing Yoga Day not only honoured India’s ancient wisdom but also encouraged our students to adopt healthier habits. The peaceful yet invigorating session left everyone feeling refreshed and centred, serving as a powerful reminder that wellness begins within.
Yoga is more than just movement—it is a journey towards harmony of the body, mind, and soul.
