Our enthusiastic CIE 1 adventurers embarked on an exciting new mission to uncover how light behaves when it meets different objects! Like true scientists, they observed, experimented, and made fascinating discoveries about the wonders of light. The young investigators tested various objects to see how light interacted with them. They held up transparent materials like glass, marvelling at how light easily passed through. “Look, we can see everything clearly!” they exclaimed with excitement. Next, they experimented with translucent materials, such as a water bottle. The light shone through faintly, but the objects behind them appeared blurry. “It’s glowing, but we can’t see through it properly!” they observed. Then came the most thrilling part! The little scientists placed thick books, wooden blocks, and even a black water bottle in front of the light. “No light gets through!” they gasped. These opaque objects completely blocked the light, creating dark shadows. To extend their learning, they explored how shadows form when light is obstructed by different materials, deepening their understanding of transparency. Their exploration of light was filled with joy and excitement. Light has many secrets to keep exploring and shining bright!
