CPS Global School Thirumazhisai, on 24th June 2023, conducted an orientation for the parents to explain the exciting journey of Cambridge Lower Secondary education! The event was organised with an objective to familiarize them with the vision, mission, academic and administrative policies of our school. We had organised the session for CAIE 6 and CAIE 7 virtually and for CAIE 8 in school. Our Head of School Ms Jayu Ganesh welcomed the gathering. She emphasized the significance of parental involvement in a child’s education and the collaborative efforts required to ensure their holistic development. Following this, Ms Vedha Rangarajan Team Lead, presented an overview of the curriculum for the lower secondary checkpoint level, including the subjects offered, assessment methods and grading system. She also discussed the importance of a balanced approach to education, which is the combination of academic rigor with the development of essential life skills. The parents were briefed about the subjects by the respective subject faculty, who shared their teaching methodologies and best ways to engage their children in this academic journey. They were further enlightened about the various co-curricular activities available for their children ranging from sports, theatre and clubs. By understanding the unique dynamics of this educational phase and providing the necessary support, we can help the child thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We believe that this orientation would foster a strong partnership between the school and parents.
