The COVID-19 pandemic prompted the entire human race to face new challenges and opportunities like never before. Amidst this chaos people have been juggling multiple roles and adapting to different situations. Foremost among these have been our TEACHERS – the community that is striving to ensure that learning takes place, no matter what.
Why? You may ask.
The reason for this, obviously, is that the student population will shape the future and make the world a better place for everyone. Their innovation, creativity and quest for knowledge need to be kept enkindled. Learning for students and teaching for educators is as effortless and natural as breathing is to every living being! Teachers have embraced the changes by rebooting their system of teaching and exquisitely transitioned to the virtual space of teaching.
Keeping this in mind Cambridge decided to identify, celebrate and reward teachers by finding their “AHA” moments – That is their ‘Better Learning Moments’ from their very own classroom experiences. Teachers from South Asia were invited to share their involvement and good practices of bringing in active learning in their classrooms by using Cambridge resources and otherwise in class and the response were phenomenal! Teachers sent in their inspiring learning moments and experts at Cambridge University Press selected the Top 50 and from them to the Top 10 entries. Nothing can be more rewarding than seeing one’s impact on students’ lives doing down in history!
We, at CPS GS Thirumazhisai, are proud and extremely jubilant to share that two of our IGCSE teachers, Ms. Ashwathi C Nair handling Business Studies and Ms. Kanagavalli P handling English As a Second Language, carved a niche for themselves among the ‘TOP 50 Enablers of Better Learning Moments’!!
The impactful learning moments is featured by Cambridge University Press along with their School Names in their website. At this time when we have transitioned from ‘ROOM to ZOOM’ it’s important for the teaching community to rise to the challenge and be motivated to keep the flame of knowledge burning bright as ever. The CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai fraternity pledges to ensure that ‘We Touch Lives’!!!
