Tales from fantasy land – ELP @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”  ― Albert Einstein

A fairy tale is always a fantasy where as a fantasy will not be a fairy tale!!!

So, why to read fairy tales to children? Is it to know that  there is a  happily ever after or a prince charming always rescues a  princess in distress?  For Kings to slay dragons and  conquer kingdoms you need the inspiration to create , because none of us have  seen it happen ! Fairy tales come with rich visuals and contextual elements that bring forth visceral emotions in children.

Would they explore the  lone house in the forest  or stick to the suggested path? Should they talk to strangers or eat from a candy house when they know better? These are not silly questions. They are serious considerations about how a child makes choices  and acts in the wider world.

The ELP segment  leaves no stone unturned in  mustering up excuses to celebrate . one such was “Fantasies and Fairy tales”.  We could see many superheroes in red capes, Egyptian pharaohs and queens, pirates, snow and  forest princess and a sparkle bird! And  the tales they said   left us in bewilderment !

Many fictional  characters came to life and so did their quirky  tales !
