Festivals fill our lives with colour and enthusiasm. Joy glints off when we celebrate festivals. Pongal is the most prominent festival of Tamilnadu, celebrated by the Tamil diaspora worldwide. People from different states celebrate this thanks giving festival in different names like Makar Shankranthi, Lohri etc… As a part of Pongal Celebration our children of ELP CPSGS Thirumazhisai were engaged with hand full of thoughtful and creative activities.
During circle time children shared their known facts of the great harvest festival and made the interactive session an informative one too! This galvanizing performance left everyone spellbound.
Children minds are malleable, hence we decided to blend tradition with new concept of learning through art and craft activities. Our ELP kids explored their creativity by making sugarcane using paper; and they scrupulously decorated pongal pots through finger printing and the spectacular overflowing effect was given through cotton collage over the pot. Pragmatic study is always necessary and is ubiquitous. And this pragmatic way unveiled our kids’ hidden talents even in this virtual platform. Kudos! Pongalo Pongal.
