Poem Recitation Competition at Upper Primary @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Success is a sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out”

The students at CPS had their first competition this year, kickstarting with a ‘Poem Recitation’. It was an event filled with joy, excitement and students completely soaked in a competitive spirit.

No competition is complete without the best shot given by our students. These competitions give our students a platform to showcase their skills and talents.

Poem recitation was one event which brought out the inert skills of our students. They were judged on their presentation, confidence, verbal clarity and choice of vocabulary used.

Not to forget, the students recited the poems that were wholeheartedly written by them. Students had to choose between ‘Happiness’ or ‘Grit’ as their theme. It was a wonderful sight to behold, when students confidently recited their poem with brilliant gestures, throw of voice and absolute brilliance.

A spirit of competition teaches our students the importance of taking a healthy risk instead of only doing activities that they are comfortable with. … Taking risks such as participating in a new competition or enrolling yourself for new activities helps build the self-confidence of our students.

CPS will continue challenging students, to bring out the best in them.
