After a year of e-schooling, the transition into the next academic year was so seamless, that it felt
that the online mode has been normal and not the new-normal! Academic year 2021-2022 was
heralded with the parents and students’ induction program into IBDP on 7 th May 2021. An intense
and elaborate orientation session expounding on the values, skills and pedagogy of IBDP along side
the legacy at CPS Global School was impressed on the stakeholders so that they can make an
informed decision about the choice of subjects.
The orientation set the right tone with the welcome address by the Head of School, followed by the
nuances of the curriculum and the school policies by the Academic Coordinator and IBDP Team Lead.
Each faculty also gave a precise and meticulous overview of their subjects, with the aid of well-
curated presentation, in order to help the students and parents discuss the subject choices and their
levels with a better insight for the following day’s individual subject counselling session. The parents
have been highly appreciative of the initiative as they placed on record that “at that age, involving
parents to guide their wards is certainly useful. Your school did the right decision to involve the
parents” and also “subject choice counselling session was immensely useful”. This is, indeed, truly
inspiring for the school that parents have laid their trust in the institution. Thus, began another
journey in fostering and strengthening the relationships and success of the newly inducted IBDP
Class of 2023!
