Play is an essential part of every child’s life and is vital for the enjoyment of childhood as well as social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. Our ELP1 children cherish school, as learning happens through fun activities. The children were in for a surprise to see their classroom turned into an indoor gaming arena. After clear instructions from their teacher, the little ones were all set to play the game. The kids had to choose a ball, aim and throw it in the hole of the same colour . The favourite colour balls were chosen first to play. Their steadfast determination and delight in playing the game was evident from their gleeful participation. “Target hole” – fosters the development of gross motor skills, bilateral coordination and visual motor integration. It covered all the characteristics of play such as active, adventurous, enjoyable, communicative, involved and meaningful.
