From spills to skills, the cooking journey was worth every moment

Written by cpsglobalblog

The Cooking Club Culmination was a joyful celebration of learning through hands-on experiences in which the displays were thoughtfully designed to engage and excite students. One of the highlights was a blindfolded touch-and-guess activity, where secret ingredients were covered and participants identified them using only their sense of touch that sparked their curiosity.

As part of the sharing segment, students explained a Bhel Puri recipe, encouraging peers to try making it at home. The Cooking Club members also created a beautiful reflection chart, along with Cooking Club logos designed by the students, showcasing their creativity and journey throughout the year.

The MasterChef Competition was conducted based on the previous ten recipes taught during club sessions. Participants were allowed to improvise with additional flavours to enhance their dishes. The judges were Ms. Niranjana, Mr. Solomon, and Ms. Nivetha. The competition was conducted in a professional manner with a clear marking rubric that included plating, taste, and hygiene.

All these moments were captured in a MasterChef video, which was screened during the Club Culmination. The winners were Dharsna (CIE 6) for Stuffed Dates, Saikrish (CIE 7) for Bread Rasamalai, and a shared third place by Jishnu (CIE 7) for Pin Roll Sandwich and Jun (IG 1) for Bread Sandwich. Winners received culinary gifts, and all participants were appreciated with bowls.

Two students also shared heartfelt testimonies about their learning and growth. The entire process was guided by Ms. Ponni, Ms. Padma, Ms. Prashitha, and Ms. Jecintha, whose support made the journey meaningful and memorable.
