Turning to the power of crowdfunding, CPS Global school partnered with Fuel a dream organization, a platform to make a difference and impact on the livelihoods of the marginalized.
On 20th July 2021, our Grade 8 to A level students attended the orientation of Fuel a dream – Crowdfunding platform, after which a team of 25 students volunteered to campaign for raising funds to support the Single Teacher Schools in rural Tamilnadu.
Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.
The crowdfunding initiative has helped our students to learn the art of loving and caring for people one would never meet in person. Touching lives is the greatest achievement we could render for our students. This effort has changed the perspective they have towards the world. It has helped them understand the beauty of life and how small efforts by one, create a larger impact on others.
With sheer determination, our young volunteers had set a goal to raise Rs 500000 /- and with their efforts they completed the campaign with 319 funders, raising Rs 689850 /- (139 %). This fund will benefit 46 Single teachers in rural Tamilnadu. We appreciate all our young change leaders, who have positively impacted the world around them. Achieving more than the targeted amount, not only benefited the community but also heightened our students’ confidence.
Overall, our students marked the quote ” We rise by lifting others” and realized the smallest deed is better than the greatest intention.
