All about plants! @ ELP 1 CPSGS TMZ

Written by cpsglobalblog

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.

Plants are really important for the planet and for all living things. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen from their leaves, which humans and other animals need to breathe.                                                                                                         – Audrey Hepburn

Our future inventors of ELP1 learnt the different parts of the plant through various fun filled activities.

  1. I can learn by having a real one.

To feel something makes it all the more real and personal and our ELP students had the best experience as they touched various plants and felt their texture.

  1. I can identify and name the parts of a plant by using the model.

Our little learners learnt the various parts of a plant with the use of a model. It was enthralling to watch them rattle out the various parts of the plant with great confidence with the help of the colourful model.

  1. I know the roots and shoot.

The next activity had the ELP children correctly place the roots below the soil and the shoot above the soil.

  1. I can make a craft model of plant.

The four main parts of the plant were kept randomly in a bowl and the toddlers were encouraged to arrange in sequence. Voila! The little Botanist completed the task in a jiffy!

Thus by seeing, touching saying and doing the ELP Students learnt about the parts of the plant.
