A Story Behind Rising Fuel Prices @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

As part of our classroom activity, we imagined that a single drop of fuel was telling its own story. It began its journey across oceans, travelling through important shipping routes to reach different countries. But suddenly, wars and geopolitical tensions disrupted its path. Shipping became risky, oil supplies were reduced, and fuel prices started to rise.

As the story unfolded, we realized that the impact was felt everywhere. Transport became more expensive, factories spent more on production, and the prices of food and other daily essentials increased. Families, businesses, and governments all faced the burden of rising costs.

We also learned that oil-importing countries, especially developing nations, struggled the most, while oil-exporting countries gained greater economic influence. This showed us how fuel prices can change global relationships and affect economies around the world.

Through this activity, we understood that a rise in fuel prices is not just about paying more at the fuel station. It is a story of global conflicts, energy security, and how events in one part of the world can impact the lives of people everywhere.
