Our music enthusiasts were privileged to have an enriching encounter with the illustrious Kalaimamani Shri Rajhesh Vaidhya, acclaimed veena virtuoso, at his musical abode. The intimate visit offered a rare glimpse into the creative sanctum where the maestro composes, rehearses and records, providing the students with an authentic insight into the life of a performing artiste.
The interaction unfolded as a captivating exploration of music, tradition and artistic expression. The Maestro spoke of the rich foundations of Carnatic music and his distinctive approach to extending the vocabulary of the veena through extraordinary speed, precision and contemporary arrangements, while remaining rooted in its classical soul. His reflections on sadhana, rhythmic discipline, performance and sound design revealed the rigour and imagination behind musical mastery.
Our students had the singular honour of presenting their musical repertoire before the acclaimed artiste, an experience of immense significance and humility. This was followed by an electrifying performance by Shri Rajhesh Vaidhya, whose breathtaking dexterity, precision and command of the veena left the young musicians spellbound.
