From Classrooms to Capital Markets: Students Explore the World of Finance

CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, hosted an engaging and insightful Finance Session by Masters’ Union, giving our IGCSE and IBDP students an opportunity to explore the fascinating world of finance, stock markets, investments, entrepreneurship and business through real-world experiences.

The session featured Pranav Liju, a two-time founder and startup strategist, along with Saiansh Gupta, President of the Masters’ Union Investment Fund, and Samarth Mehta, a CFA programme aspirant and young entrepreneur. Their diverse experiences provided students with practical perspectives on business building, investing and financial decision-making.

Our students were not merely listeners. They actively participated in the session, interacted with the speakers and asked thoughtful questions about the stock market, investing strategies, business models, entrepreneurship and various aspects of financial planning. The discussions encouraged students to understand how financial decisions are made in the real world and how several variables influence investment and business decisions.

The session inoculated within them a newfound appreciation for financial learning that extends far beyond textbooks and classrooms. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications and real-world scenarios. It also posed as an enriching opportunity to develop greater awareness of financial literacy, investment thinking and entrepreneurial mindsets.

We sincerely thank Masters’ Union for sharing the knowledge, experiences and insights with our students.

At CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, we remain committed to creating opportunities where students can learn beyond the curriculum, engage with real-world ideas and develop the confidence to think, question and make informed decisions.
