CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai hosted “Navigating the Preteen Journey” on 7th August 2026, an engaging workshop designed to help students understand and navigate the unique challenges and experiences of the preteen years.
The session featured Ms Vidya Ragu as the Chief Guest. A renowned behavioural science facilitator, global leadership coach, keynote speaker, TEDx curator, and founder of Himalaya Calling and SkillsGuruCool, Ms Ragu brings over 20 years of experience and has delivered more than 1,500 sessions worldwide. She has worked with organisations including McKinsey, Wipro, NASSCOM, IIT Madras, the Ministry of Education, and the Defence Forces of India.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging with Ms Ragu as she explored the emotional and personal changes that accompany the transition through the preteen years. She encouraged students to approach this phase with confidence, self-awareness, and a positive outlook. Through relatable personal stories and meaningful conversations, she highlighted the importance of understanding oneself while growing and changing. She also guided students to recognise and understand the range of emotions they may experience as they move through this stage of life. One of the key messages of the session was the importance of never losing one’s inner child, regardless of age. Her stories helped students connect with this idea and reflect on the value of curiosity, joy, and authenticity. The session provided students with valuable insights into self-awareness, emotional development, confidence, communication, and navigating change. More importantly, it encouraged them to embrace growing up while continuing to preserve the qualities that make childhood special.
