Our Science class began with a “Yes/No” guessing game using animal pictures. Students guessed all sorts of rules — land vs. water animals, wild vs. domestic, even size! Every idea was welcomed, sparking lively discussion and encouraging learners to think critically.
With gentle clues, students looked closer, compared features, and slowly cracked the mystery: the “Yes” group all had a backbone! This exciting discovery led us straight into our topic — Classification of Animals into Vertebrates and Invertebrates.
It was a wonderful reminder that when children discover concepts for themselves, learning becomes more meaningful. Every prediction, whether correct or not, becomes an important step in developing deeper understanding.
